Interest Groups and Task Groups are the driving force behind the development and maintenance of TDWG standards, and participation is the key factor that gives TDWG standards authority in open science. As the biodiversity informatics community grows each year, TDWG is organizing virtual introductory working sessions from 14 to 25 April 2025 to:

• inform the broader biodiversity information community about ongoing work to develop and maintain standards;
• review progress made so far;
• engage new contributors; and
• set the agenda for the year’s work.
